- This was a great learning piece for any fans of the Pokemon song. The vocals seem to be transcribed accurately and include the backup vocals separated out. They will help exercise a high range. I am a beginner and I thought this was a fun song to ham up and to learn to sing.
Game Boy (GB) Sheet Music
Here is the first mainstream portable console! The Game Boy was worse than its competitors technically, and that meant its sound quality was pretty bad and the memory restrictions for the music in its games were huge. However, by focusing on creating catchy, simple and short tunes, composers were able to capture the imagination of gamers and gave Game Boy games a character different to those that used to be played on home consoles. The chiptune sound that gave birth to the game music genre during the eighties continued its development in portable consoles, as modern home consoles received better sound hardware and moved towards a more cinematic treatment of game audio. It's funny that Game Boy games such as Pokemon didn't need complex musical compositions or CD-quality sound to be incredibly successful and be played well into the twenty first century by tens of millions of gamers. The market didn't seem to value or expect a high sound quality on handhelds. And this was good news for Nintendo, a highly conservative company usually reluctant to include big technological advances on its hardware from one generation to another. |
